Annual GRI May Have Negative Impact on California Container Ports

The Los Angeles Harbor Commission recently postponed voting on a proposed annual general rate increase based on the consumer price index. This delay affords cargo shipping lines and terminal operators an opportunity to formulate an action plan opposing an automatic general rate increase. Long Beach and Oakland Ports are also considering the same plan.
